Meinen ersten freien Tag nutzte ich, um noch ein paar Besorgungen zu machen, wie z.B. ein Kopfkissen kaufen. Da wir hier wirklich-wirklich isoliert in der "Pampa" leben, ist der Weg bis zum nächsten großen Supermarkt etwas weiter... Ich machte mich also auf den Weg nach Richfield, welches 90 km vom Nationalpark entfernt liegt.

I used my first day off to buy some more stuff like a pillow. Since we are really really living in an isolated area here, the next big supermarket is a few miles away... I went to Richfield which is 90 km from the National Park.

Das erste was in Richfield zu tun war, war tanken, da das natürlich direkt in der Nähe des Parks auch teurer ist. Bei einem Preis von ca. 2,50 Dollar pro Gallone (3,78 Liter) ist die recht weite Anreise verschmerzbar :-D

The first important thing to do was getting gas in Richfield, since this is of course also pretty expensive near the National Park. But with a price of 2,50 Dollar per gallon (3,78 liters) the long trip is just fine :-D

Yeah Pork Skin.. at least for Pierre. I don't like this stuff ;) Again nice rocks.. and be careful with your food in your room. Pierre said, that the hantavirus is much more dangerous in the US than in Europe. So check out for unwelcome rats and other creatures ;)

AntwortenLöschenja das mit dem Virus ist nicht schön und Essen im Zimmer ist ein no-go, auch offene Lebensmittel in der Küche. Mäuse gehören hier leider zum Leben dazu wie bei uns Spinnen. Ich habe mir Billig-Tupperdosen gekauft und alles ist "mäusesicher" in der Küche gelagert ;-)
